>>>“ be serious while having fun”<<<

Race sailing has changed a lot in the last years to a sport with a
high demand on professionality and commitment for all involved.

This is applicable from the kids-level in the Optimist
through the juniors to the  hopefulls in the Olympic Classes.

To have a chance in reaching the once-set goals
it needs more than talent and training.

My philosophy is based on some principles who are more connected
with far east wisdom and commitment to the world in a holistic kind of view .
These connections and principles are up to now not very well known
as guidelines for successfull sail-racing.

In the view of the eastern philosophies the world is seen in a holistic way,
not in the dualistic way of our western thinking.

The quest for high-level performance in all different kinds can only be fulfilled
by looking at the entire thing, whether regarding the sole crew-member,
the team, or the entire team and material.

This means not only knowledge of tactics, speed, or sailing skills,
but in a rapid growing demand the quest for physical and mental fitness.

Following these thoughts  we are reaching a level of mental attitude which I call

>>>“ be serious while having fun”<<<

Having this mental attitude in mind while racing and preparing for racing
 is taking your performance to

a new level of committment,
compassion, and competition!
