Committment To Coaching!
I am coaching since I was 20 years old, at these times working as regional coach in Berlin, Germany for 470 and
Finn-Dinghy.
Later I worked for the German National Federation (DSV), and the Austrian (ÖSV) and Swiss Sailing Federation (Swiss Sailing)
I was one of two headcoaches for the Swiss Sailing Team at
the Olympic Games 1992 Barcelona.
On top of these jobs I worked as private coach for sailors and teams in the Olympic and International Classes.
I was successful in winning 8 World
Championships and numerous medals at Worlds and Europeans in the Olympic and International Classes.
During all the years I educated 7 sailors who went on to be Olympic Competitors.
After
2004 I started a new chapter in my coaching carreer and turned my interest into Match Racing, faster boats and larger sails.
For the 32nd America´s Cup 2007 in Valencia I was appointed
sportsmanager and coach for United Internet Team Germany.
I am a certified Fitness Coach since a couple of years whith a lot of experience in sailing fitness.
